This Silver Leaf insides project — an off‐white kitchen with midtone wood floors as well as a beige, brick‐like backsplash — is a good example of Groenier's first strategy: letting the finishes balance one another.
No need for a rich neutral wall paint to tie them all together; instead, the choice (note the wall paint above the cabinets) fades into the setting, allowing the finishes to be the main attraction.
"One is to stay pretty neutral also let the selected finishes do their thing — pop with balance each other," she says. "Another option is to go with a deep rich neutral maybe a navy," she says.
