A household kitchen retains its original brick but adds an eat‐in area also bright new cabinets This 1949 Los Angeles ranch had its charms, but in the kitchen the absence storage, funky old booths with cabinets past their primeweren't functional for the young household who were living there.
The owners had admired interior designer Thea Segal's light, clean‐lined also calming signature style on another one of her projects with wanted her to bring it to their house. At the same time maintaining the home`s original spirit was important to the designer.
Segal kept the aboriginal brick around the existing grill together with the new range to maintain a strong connection to the original architecture. The brick warms the space as well as its texture helps to break up all the white.
